Optos Ultra-Wide Field Imaging & OCT Scanning in One
The Optos Monaco produces a 200° image in less than half a second – ultra-wide field retinal imaging – and is also integrated with Optical Coherence Technology (OCT) scanning technology to produce cross-sectional 40° views of retinal structures.
Serious eye conditions, such as retinal detachments and glaucoma, often have no obvious symptoms to begin with. The earlier they are detected the sooner you can get treatment to preserve your vision. That’s where this advanced combination of retinal imagine can help.
OCT Scan
OCT Eye scan process uses light waves to capture a 3D image of the back of your eye (the retina), so we can see what’s going on beneath the surface in great detail. This makes it easier to diagnose eye diseases and damage, including diabetic retinopathy, macular holes and age-related macular degeneration.
Optos Ultra-Wide Field Imaging
The more we can see of your retina, the more likely we are to pick up signs of eye disease or damage. It’s simply a case of covering more ground and that’s exactly what ultra-wide field imaging allows us to do. With a single image, we can capture 82% of your retina and with multiple images used to create a montage, we can capture up to 97% of your retina.
More Than Just Eye Tests
We don’t just offer standard and advanced eye tests at our Dorking branch, we also provide Dry Eye and blepharitis assessments. You don’t need to put up with itchy, dry eyes caused by Dry Eye Syndrome or red, swollen eyelids caused by blepharitis.
