As an independent opticians, at Optical Studio we offer you a selection of lenses from world-renowned manufacturers. Having good-quality lenses can make all the difference to your clarity of vision, and we have a selection of lens types to ensure every patient gets the best lens for them.
Clear lenses
Even if you don’t need prescription lenses, you might want to wear glasses as an accessory, or use specialist lenses for their anti-glare or blue light blocking values.
Single vision lenses
If you need prescription lenses for driving, using a computer, reading or working, we can provide top-quality lenses to suit your needs.
Progressive lenses
If you have presbyopia and need more than one prescription lens for distance and near vision, then progressive (known as varifocal) lenses are the ideal solution. Giving you clear vision at every distance, they eliminate the need for having multiple pairs of glasses.
Sunglasses
All our frames can be made up with plano or prescription tinted lenses that will give you full UV protection. If you prefer not to have separate sunglasses, try photochromic lenses that darken in the sun and lighten back to clear when you go inside.
Cut out glare with polarised lenses, which are great if you spend time on or near water. Even if you’re in the city, glass and concrete can cause glare so polarised lenses can give your eyes relief.
Lens selection
At Optical Studio, we work with a variety of manufacturers such as Nikon, Essilor, Zeiss and Tokai to ensure we offer the product that is individually suited to your needs . Each brand has specialist lenses available such as lenses designed for driving, computer use or playing sports. We are also one of a select few companies that supply Tokai’s 1.76 index lens which is the thinnest in the world.
Different lens coatings are available to suit different situations. Whilst scratch-resistance is standard, there are lens coatings that offer more advanced options such as blue light filtration, superior anti-glare performance as well as dust and smudge repellence.
